DIP Secure Browser is now available to the public06 June 2008
DIP Secure Browser's main goal is to be simple enough for all users, and secure enough to stop viruses and hackers dead in their tracks. How does DIP Secure Browser do this? First, it encrypts every file that it uses on the user's hard drive, such as your history logs and preferences. This means that spyware/malware/viruses cannot steal is information. It can only be accessed from within the browser and by the browser itself. Second, the vast majority of proxy servers only hide the user's destination. The actual data is still being transferred in clear text which anyone can view. This means that someone would be able to still read your emails, which could provide them with login and password information. In contrast, DIP Secure Browser encrypts all of the communication that takes place. Simply put, what this means is that everything you do online is protected by the same encryption that's used to protect online banking. This is a huge benefit for the user and greatly reduces the risk of identify theft. Finally, the browser includes a self-updating phishing database which is updated every 45 minutes. "Phishing" is the technical term for what most people know as scam emails, which tell users that they need to reset their banking password or reset their credit card information so that thieves can break in. If a user clicks on a link inside one of those fraudulent emails, DIP Secure Browser will detect that and warn the user that someone is trying to fool them and steal their identify and/or other information. This feature alone significantly reduces one's risk on the internet. The proxy service costs only $3.75 per month when subscribed to annually. Users can protect themselves for the price of a cup of coffee. For more information and questions, please visit http://www.dipconsultants.com/browser/ or contact: | ||
