Why Would I Want The Subscription?
The subscription provides all the same features of the free version and adds an additional layer of security called a proxy server. This extra layer encrypts all your internet traffic, not just the files stored on your hard disk. Doing so eliminates the risk of wardrivers, spies and wiretappers. Various Internet Service Providers have been caught spying on their user's activities, sometimes even sharing that information with the government, which we find to be wrong and an invasion of privacy. Wardrivers are people who try to piggy-back on your wireless connection, and once in, can monitor and see everything that you do. Furthermore, we block most online ads, which provides you with a faster, more streamlined browsing experience.

Is DIP Secure Browser More Secure Than Firefox Or Internet Explorer?
We absolutely believe so. We encrypt everything on disk, such as your history logs and bookmarks. This means that spyware/malware/viruses cannot steal that information; it can only be accessed from within the browser and by the browser itself. This is a huge benefit for the user and greatly reduces the risk of identify theft. Furthermore, we encrypted all network communication and our phishing database is updated every 45 minutes, so you are always protected against new and current threats.

Can I Use Your Proxy Servers With A Different Browser Of My Choice?
With a subscription account, absolutely. For information on how to do this, please view our IP Client page.

What Sets Your Proxy Service Apart?
The vast majority of proxy servers only hide the user's destination, with the data still being transferred in clear text which anyone can view. This means that someone would be able to still read your emails, which could provide them with login and password information. In contrast, DIP Secure Browser encrypts all the communication that takes place. Simply put, what this means is that everything you do online is protected by the same encryption that's used to protect online banking. Also, we are *fast* and block large amounts of ads to improve your browsing. On top of it all, we respect and guarantee your privacy and keep no logs of your activities. In fact, our encryption methods make it impossible for us to tell the difference among our users.

Why Is The Installer/Source So Big?
Our phishing database is 80MB+ and growing, so that inflates our size considerably, but we feel it's better safe than sorry. Also, our installer includes Python, GTK and PyGTK as those aren't generally installed on Windows boxes.
